About Us

Minnesota attorney, Patty Wisecup, grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico and graduated from Alamogordo Senior High School in 1982. She earned
her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, NM in 1985. Patty moved to Minnesota in 1995 after meeting
and marrying her husband, James. She continued her education and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, magna cum laude, from Augsburg
College in 1998. Prior to becoming an attorney, she practiced as a registered nurse in New Mexico, Texas and Minnesota. She worked primarily with
patients in the operating room, emergency room and intensive care units. In 2005, Patty earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Hamline University
School of Law in St. Paul. Ms. Wisecup continues to maintain her nursing license and certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She is also an active member of the Minnesota Responds Medical Reserve Corps, Wright County unit.

Ms. Wisecup worked for two and a half years at Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak and Pikala, P.A., in downtown Minneapolis. She decided to open
her own practice because she wanted to develop a law practice born out of her ideals and experiences in caring for people who need help. WISECUP
LAW OFFICE, LLC opened for business on January 7, 2008. Patty strives to assist her clients’ legal, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Her
practice focuses on the general legal needs of the client, including Bankruptcy, Family Law, Wills & Trusts, and Consumer Rights Advocacy (assisting
clients in bringing an end to abusive and aggressive debt collection practices).

Ms. Wisecup believes that the legal profession is a nurturing profession and that an attorney is supposed to listen, understand and address ALL of the
client’s needs much like a physician or nurse does. She endeavors to restore the public's faith in the legal system, one client at a time, by providing

Ms. Wisecup has lived in Monticello with her husband James and their four boys since 2001. As a family, they enjoy fishing, camping, bowling and
music. She remains active by cheering the boys to victory in baseball, football, bowling and wrestling.
